VeritBuild AS · Common ground for property risk

Verified building documentation.
Verified collateral. Verified risk.

VeritBuild bridges the gap between the physical building and the financial sector's basis for decision-making through independent verification, traceable methodology, and a professional bridge between building standards, regulation, and the requirements of banks and insurers.

Shared documentation, shared view of risk.

Norway has approximately 2.75 million homes. 78 per cent of them were built between 1946 and 2001. When the building stock is assessed under the EU Taxonomy, the EBA ESG guidelines (in force 2026/2027), and EPBD 2024, banks, insurers, and owners need a shared, verified basis on which to discuss risk and remediation across boundaries.

The bank assesses collateral. The insurer assesses claims frequency. The owner assesses operational value. With the same verified documentation underneath, each party can make its own judgement, within its own mandate, and still speak the same language about the building, the risk, and the upgrade need.

Ageing, climate, and geopolitics meet in the same building.

Three forces converge towards the same need: building stock is ageing faster than it is being documented, climate change is increasing physical risk, and geopolitical instability raises sharper demands for transparency and resilience in the financial sector.

The data held by banks and insurers does not yet show this combined picture. Collateral is assessed against historical parameters, and the portfolio view is an average, not a distribution. That makes it difficult to plan for resilience before risk materialises as loss or special conditions.

EBA/GL/2025/04 marks the transition to a forward-looking regime, in which verified documentation and scenario-based risk assessment become the basis for credit, insurance, and portfolio decisions.

VeritBuild provides the infrastructure for that transition: shared documentation, a shared view of risk, planned resilience before reactive measures are forced upon you.

Four services. One professional logic.

We verify what exists, and we build the bridge where it is missing.

01

Tripartite methodology

A method and a meeting point where bank, insurer, and property owner can use the same verified documentation to assess upgrade needs and remediation plans, identify which building elements the risk is tied to, and weigh exposures linked to debt service and vacancy. The methodology creates transparency for all parties.

02

Verification of building documentation

Independent quality control of building and project documentation, measured against Norwegian standards (NS 3424, NS 3600, NS-EN 17680) and the requirements of the financial sector. We confirm what the documentation actually covers, and where it has gaps, so that credit, underwriting, and asset management can rest on a verified foundation.

Robustness Compass. An actuarially validated tool for single-building risk. In operation for detached homes; commercial buildings from May 2026.

Portfolio Barometer. Verified data foundation at portfolio level. A client-calibrated weighting model is in development.

03

ESG report verification

Verification of corporate sustainability reporting, limited to firms working with buildings, real estate, and the built environment. We test reported figures and claims against building reality and the applicable frameworks (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, EBA ESG, VSME), and state clearly what is verifiable.

04

Seminars and tailored training

Bespoke professional sessions that connect sustainability, risk, building standards, and regulation in a single picture. We focus on the connections that often go missing internally: how EBA ESG relates to NS 3424, what the EU Taxonomy actually requires of building documentation, where the risk lens differs from the collateral lens.

Building audit as a discipline.

VeritBuild is a building auditor, an independent professional body for the verification of building documentation, property data, and real-estate portfolios. As the auditor confirms that the accounts add up, the building auditor confirms that the building documentation adds up: traceable, recorded, and anchored in the standards the parties are already bound by.

With several years of experience in third-party assessment of building documentation, we provide the basis on which banks, insurers, and owners build their own decisions, each within its own mandate.

The methodology is grounded in Norwegian building standards (NS 3424, NS 3600, NS-EN 17680), European regulation (the EU Taxonomy, CSRD, EPBD 2024, EBA ESG), and audit discipline (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, NS-ISO 31000).

The method is ours. The decision is yours.

Three parties, one documentation foundation.

Once the building documentation is verified, bank, insurer, and owner can use the same foundation for different decisions within their own mandate. Click a party to see what they read from the same data.

The expertise behind the verification.

The verification team combines architectural, engineering, surveying, environmental, and quality-audit expertise, so that building documentation, environmental performance, and process integrity can be assessed within the same framework.
